Santal Blonde by Atelier Materi

I knew I was going to love this one. I was not wrong.

This is a creamy, clean sandalwood, with decent projection. I sprayed it once on a card, and could smell it in the air when I walked by a couple hours later.

This is a clean, delicate, true sandalwood that leans more toward the Scandinavian furniture & blonde wood midcentury modern esthetic, not the incensey South Asian carved sandalwood figures esthetic.

Personally, I love it. The Tonka and cardamom and bergamot are there, but this isn’t sweet, spicy, or citrusy. It’s just woody, gentle, and pleasant. Would be great in the winter after a bedtime shower, alone or layered with something a little sweet, if that’s your thing.

It’s pricey at around $260/bottle, but I think I’ll have problems not going in on a full bottle of this one.
